Holger Matthiesen is Senior Vice President with responsibility for offshore wind development in Europe and Global New Markets. He also serves as Senior Vice President Business Development Europe for Aker Horizons, the main shareholder of Mainstream. He has a strong track record from the offshore wind industry globally, where he recently was the Head of Offshore Wind Development for Scandinavia, Poland and the Baltic States at RWE Renewables. He has held previous roles working in the climate and renewables part of the E.ON group, including management positions in underground gas and energy storage and within offshore wind development and construction in Germany and Scandinavia. Prior to the renewable sector he also has gained 10 years of oil and gas experience within exploration and production with assignments in Libya, Russia, and the Netherlands.

Mr. Matthiesen holds a Diploma in Geology from Technical University Aachen, Germany, a Ingenieur diplomé from IFP School in Paris, France, and an Executive MBA from University of Applied Science Bremen, Germany.
