The APAC region may have been a late starter in the race to harness offshore wind but by the end of 2022, the market overtook Europe, producing 34 GW of wind power. With all this growth in the market, can the vessel #supplychain keep up?️
Of most concern to GWEC is the lack of investment in new dedicated vessels for the region's offshore wind sector, especially wind turbine installation vessels (WTIVs).

"Asia-Pacific excluding China is primarily reliant on European vessels, and once there are no spare vessels from Europe, a lot of projects elsewhere risk being delayed because there will be a shortage." - said GWEC’s Head of Strategy and Market Intelligence, Feng Zhao. click here to read the full article.
