Owen Wilson is the Executive Director of Australia’s newly established Offshore Infrastructure Regulator. The Offshore Infrastructure Regulator has operational oversight of work health and safety, infrastructure integrity and environmental management for the offshore renewables sector in Australia.

Owen has over 17 years’ experience in onshore and offshore energy and resources regulation, including leading development and implementation of risk management frameworks for high hazard industries.

Owen holds a degree in science and has significant experience in the Australian public service at the Commonwealth and State levels and has represented Australia at meetings of the Global Offshore Wind Regulators Forum.

Owen and his team are currently providing regulatory and operational advice to the Australian Government on the developing the regulatory framework for offshore renewables including in relation to work health and safety, environmental management, and infrastructure integrity matters.
