Scott is the team lead for hydrogen and Power-to-X projects in Australia and New Zealand, and leads DNV’s technical advisory, due diligence and independent verification scopes for projects involving hydrogen production and conversion to ammonia, methanol and synthetic fuels. Scott specialises in evaluating how, where and when renewable hydrogen and it’s derivatives can best play a role in the energy transition, through the decarbonisation of difficult-to-electrify and hard-to-abate sectors. He has advised governments and international investors on strategic projects which include cross-APAC end-to-end value chain analysis, techno-economic studies and identifying investment opportunities.

Previously working in large and small EPC companies and specialising in industrial catalysts, Scott has 13 years’ technical experience optimising operating plants, which encompasses hydrogen production, fertilisers and explosives manufacturing, petrochemicals, oil refining and gas processing industries. Based in DNV’s Melbourne office, Scott holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical) from RMIT University.
